Hawai’i Tropical Bioreserve Garden
On the outskirts of Hilo, we loved this place so much we went twice.

Pololu Trail, Honaunau, and other beaches
Chris and I shared my camera while snorkeling, so many of the underwater photos are his. Just a little plastic box over an iPhone, but it gives some idea of the the weird and wonderful things just below the surface of the water.

Maka’eo Walking Path, Kailua-Kona
A little strip of garden near the beach on the outskirts of town, at the old Kona airstrip. We spent several mornings and afternoons here, watching the flowers bloom and observing how different certain things look in the changing light.
